Happy St. Patricks Day!!!!!!

Just thought I would post some pictures for the occasion. After all, I wouldn't want my blog getting pinched for not wearing green. And since the shamrocks in the forest are beginning to bloom I though it was fitting....

The Trilliums are peaking through the forest underbrush as well..... Which means it's time to go Morel hunting.

The "not so shy" violets popped up 3 weeks ago.....

But we had another freeze at the beginning of last week and they died back... :( But not before I collected enough blossoms for my next project. Hee Hee

But up here, when the Trilliums & Shamrocks bloom, then spring has finally arrived, and it's all good from here.... Oh and yes, things REALLY are that green up here. It just rained yesterday. LOL

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

I'm going to bookmark this to show to Manly. Ever since we were in college he has been enamored with trillium. He will truly enjoy your photos. Happy Paddy Day!

When I heard you talking about the violets blooming I went outside to look for some, couldn't find any yet. I look forward to them every year. I have never seen shamrocks growing wild. Did you plant them?

How beautiful! We still have ice on the lake here, but it has been sunny so I expect it to green up soon.
